I was so peculiar about the background, I don't even know. It has something to do about this character returning somewhere after a perilous journey. I suppose I don't know how to put it into words so it makes most definite sense.
stunning! i love that detailed background, will all the types of greens. and of course the wolf is shaded and coloured amazing, as usual. :] they fit very well togehter, and you've created an awsome mystic atmosphere, imo.
Well, the anatomy could use some improvement (at least the paws), but the shading and colouring is friggin awesome. And although the style of the subject and the one of the background are completely different, they fit together very well. Awesome!
Very nice color choices here. It kind of reminds me of slate and earth tones, or a coffee shop, or a Mediterranean palette. I like the progression from the fallen columns in the foreground to the distant mists over the mountains. The cel shaded fur is done well here, and there's plenty of detail on all the rocks. How long would you say this took from start to finish?
